2. Information we may collect
- Business enquiry information: name, business/company name, email address, telephone number, location, role, enquiry subject and the information you choose to provide.
- Communication information: records of enquiries, requests, correspondence and responses where necessary to handle your request.
- Technical information: IP address or network information, browser and device characteristics, approximate location, pages viewed, referring page, timestamps and similar technical information contained in web-server or security logs.
- Cookie and analytics information: information collected through cookies or similar technologies where enabled and permitted by your choices.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information, passwords, financial credentials or government identity documents through ordinary website enquiry fields unless specifically requested through a secure process.
3. Why we use personal information
- To respond to product, sales, partner, service or other business enquiries.
- To communicate with you about an enquiry or request you have made.
- To provide, maintain, secure and improve the website.
- To understand website usage and performance through analytics where enabled and permitted.
- To detect security incidents, abuse, fraud, unauthorised access and technical faults.
- To comply with applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, court or law-enforcement requirements.
- To establish, exercise or defend legal claims and protect our rights, systems and business interests where permitted by applicable law.
4. Legal basis and consent
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, Ideakard may process information on the basis of consent, steps requested before entering into a business relationship, performance of an agreement, compliance with a legal obligation, or another lawful basis available under the applicable jurisdiction.
For India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 establishes requirements around notice, consent, lawful processing, rights and security safeguards. The Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 were notified on 14 November 2025 with a phased commencement schedule. This website will be operated and updated to reflect applicable provisions as they become effective.
Where processing is based on consent, consent should be specific, informed and given through clear affirmative action, and applicable law may provide a right to withdraw consent.
5. Business enquiries
If you contact Ideakard for a business enquiry, we may use the information you provide to understand the request, respond to you, route it to an appropriate business or support team, maintain an enquiry record and follow up where reasonably necessary.
We do not need more personal information than is reasonably necessary for the stated purpose. If a future form asks for optional information, it should be clearly identified as optional.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Ideakard may use cookies or similar technologies. Some may be necessary for security, functionality, preferences or operation of the website. Analytics technologies may be used to understand traffic, performance and how visitors interact with the site.
Non-essential analytics or similar technologies should be enabled only according to the visitor’s applicable choices and legal requirements. Our current website includes a consent interface so visitors can choose essential-only or analytics use. See the Cookie Policy for more information.
If third-party analytics such as Google Analytics is enabled in a future deployment, the actual provider, cookies, purposes, retention and consent controls should be documented before activation. Google states that its default Analytics implementation can collect information such as session statistics, approximate geolocation, browser/device information and uses a first-party _ga cookie for distinguishing users/sessions.
7. Server logs and security logs
Web servers and security systems may create log records such as IP/network information, request timestamps, URLs, browser or device information, response status and security events. These logs may be used for diagnostics, performance analysis, security monitoring, abuse prevention and legal compliance.
Logs should be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant operational, security, analytical or legal purpose, subject to applicable retention requirements and the capabilities of the hosting and security providers.
8. Sharing and service providers
Ideakard may use trusted service providers that process information on its behalf, such as hosting, infrastructure, email, security, analytics or technical-support providers. Access should be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant service.
Information may also be disclosed where required or permitted by applicable law, court order, governmental authority, law enforcement, professional advisers, or in connection with a corporate transaction, subject to applicable safeguards.
9. International data transfers
Because hosting and technology providers may operate infrastructure in different countries, personal information may be processed outside India where permitted by applicable law. Where a jurisdiction imposes specific transfer requirements, Ideakard intends to use the applicable contractual, organisational or other lawful safeguards.
For example, the EU GDPR contains specific requirements for transfers of personal data to third countries or international organisations. EU/EEA visitors should review the transfer information applicable to their circumstances.
10. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to manage an ongoing business relationship or enquiry, to meet legal/accounting requirements, to resolve disputes, to enforce agreements, or to protect our systems and rights.
Retention periods may differ by information type and applicable jurisdiction. When information is no longer required, it should be securely deleted, anonymised or otherwise disposed of in accordance with applicable requirements.
11. Security
Ideakard intends to use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information and risks involved, including access controls, secure hosting practices, restricted administrative access, security monitoring and appropriate safeguards for data in transit and at rest where applicable.
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please avoid sending confidential credentials or unnecessary sensitive information through ordinary email or public enquiry forms.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you are located and which law applies, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including rights to access information, correction, deletion/erasure, withdrawal of consent, objection or restriction, portability, complaint/redress and information about processing.
Under India’s DPDP framework, Data Principals have rights and mechanisms relating to access information about processing, correction/erasure, grievance redressal and nomination, subject to the Act and Rules. Requests should be made through our Contact page or the privacy contact above. The DPDP Act also provides for consent withdrawal where consent is the basis of processing.
Where EU/UK data-protection law applies, additional rights and information requirements may apply. The GDPR, for example, specifies transparency information such as purposes, legal basis, recipients, retention and applicable data-subject rights.
13. Children
This website is intended for business and general audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly request unnecessary personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, please contact us.
14. Third-party websites
The website may contain links to third-party websites, downloads, platforms or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices and terms. Ideakard is not responsible for third-party privacy practices.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website, technology, business processes or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will be revised when material changes are made. Where applicable, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required.
